Procedures for non-Chinese residents in China

The “Etudes en France” application process is also open to any student or professional:

  • who does not hold a People's Republic of China passport;
  • holds a valid long-stay residence permit issued by the Chinese authorities.

1. Application Preparation

The list of required supporting documents is identical to that applicable to applicants of Chinese nationality. The application must include at least the following documents:

  • A valid passport;
  • A high school diploma (baccalaureate or equivalent) allowing access to higher education in the country or region of origin;
  • The most recent higher education diploma and/or transcripts from the current course, relevant to the study plan in France.*
  • A valid French or English language test
  • Professional certificates (if applicable);

*Please note: If the last higher education institution attended is located in the People's Republic of China, the corresponding diplomas and/or transcripts must be authenticated by the Chinese Ministry of Education (CHSI service). This process, carried out via the platform https://www.chsi.com.cn/en/pvr/ (service in English), is the sole responsibility of the applicant. The procedure can only be initiated by the student in person.

2. Application Fees

The applicable costs and procedural rights are also the same as those for users of Chinese nationality.

3. Conditions for transferring your application to another country for visa applications

An applicant residing in China can begin the process on the China interface of the Study in France platform and then apply for a visa in another country through a diplomatic mission. To do this, after receiving the sending message inviting him to finalize his procedure with TLS Contact China received by messaging from his personal account, the candidate must request the transfer to the French Consulate in the country of his choice via the internal messaging of his account.
